Celtic go in at half time with a 1-0 lead over Kilmarnock, thanks to a goal from Scott Brown.

Scott Brown's goal has given Celtic a 1-0 lead over Kilmarnock in this afternoon's SPL clash at Rugby Park.

The Bhoys started the game well and attacked Kilmarnock from the off as Victor Wanyama came close with a header after 20 minutes.

Celtic took the lead on 27 minutes after some great work from Adam Matthews allowed Scott Brown to make it 1-0.

Kilmarnock got their first attempt in on goal through Cillian Sheridan after 36 minutes, but the forward's finish was just wide.

Jeroen Tesselaar had another effort for the home side two minutes later, but his shot was well blocked by the defence.

The referee brought the first 45 minutes to a close with the scores still at 1-0.
