Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Friday's La Liga clash with Mallorca.

Barcelona head coach Xavi will be forced to make at least three changes to his starting side for Friday's La Liga contest with Mallorca.

Ronald Araujo picked up a milestone yellow card in the goalless draw with Athletic Bilbao last time out, so the Uruguay international is suspended for this match, which is likely to open the door for Inigo Martinez to start.

Meanwhile, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri both suffered significant injuries last time out, with the former facing a spell out with an ankle issue, while there have been suggestions that the latter could require an operation on a hamstring injury, which would rule him out for the season.

De Jong's starting role in midfield could be taken by Fermin Lopez, while it is likely that Lamine Yamal will be introduced as Pedri's replacement in the final third of the field.

Joao Felix and Oriol Romeu are also options for Xavi, as Barcelona look to move to within five points of La Liga leaders Real Madrid in the table.

Ferran Torres has a chance of recovering from a thigh problem in time for the contest.

However, Alejandro Balde, Gavi and Marcos Alonso remain unavailable for selection for Barcelona, with Balde and Gavi out for the campaign due to hamstring and knee injuries respectively.

Pau Cubarsi continues to impress in the middle of the Barcelona defence, and the 17-year-old is in line for another start against Mallorca on Friday.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen; Kounde, Cubarsi, I Martinez, Cancelo; Gundogan, Christensen, F Lopez; Yamal, Lewandowski, Raphinha
