Manchester United to have free run at Jack Grealish?

Manchester United could have a free run at Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United could reportedly 'potentially have a free run' at Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

The Red Devils are believed to have identified the attacking midfielder as a leading transfer target ahead of this summer's window.

The likes of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be admirers of the Englishman, but according to the Manchester Evening News, United are firmly at the head of the queue.

The report claims that the 24-year-old fits the mould when it comes to the club's new transfer policy of targeting 'humble' characters off the field who thrive on it.

It is alleged that the 20-time English champions are keen to tie up an early deal for Grealish, who could be in action for England at this summer's European Championships.

The Villa captain has been in impressive form on the field this season, scoring nine times and contributing eight assists in 30 appearances for Dean Smith's side in all competitions.

Grealish's current deal at Villa Park will expire at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
