Sunday's FA Cup predictions including Manchester United vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's FA Cup fixtures, including Manchester United vs. Liverpool.

A place at Wembley is the prize for the victor of Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea and Championship leaders Leicester City will butt heads.

The Blues edged past Leeds United 3-2 in the fifth round to advance to the final eight, while their opponents bested Bournemouth 1-0 after extra time.

We say: Chelsea 3-1 Leicester City

While Leicester should be mixing it with the big boys again next season, Maresca's men are not the same inexorable force that they once were in the second tier, but a 13-game scoring streak on the road should serve the visitors well momentarily.

A consolation effort may be the best that the Foxes can hope for against a free-scoring Chelsea side, though, as the Blues have their own taste for goals at home and have our thumbs-up to advance to the last four of the competition.

Man Utd vs. Liverpool (Sunday, 3.30pm)

The pick of this weekend's FA Cup quarter-final encounters comes under the bright lights of Old Trafford, as 12-time champions Manchester United pit their wits against eight-time winners Liverpool.

Erik ten Hag's troops eked out a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest to progress to the last eight, whereas the Reds' young guns stole the spotlight in a 3-0 fifth-round beating of Southampton.

We say: Manchester United 1-3 Liverpool

Liverpool are still waiting for their first-ever FA Cup win over Man United at Old Trafford, and no sheets should be clean at the Theatre of Dreams this weekend, as the Reds work around a shortened recovery period against Ten Hag's free-scoring troops.

While the hosts' ranks might be reinforced by some returning stars this weekend, they still conceded an alarming number of chances to Liverpool's Merseyside rivals Everton - who were guilty of not being clinical enough - but ruthlessness should not be a problem for Klopp's stars, who have our vote to advance to the final four.
