Team News: Nine changes for Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas makes nine changes for the Europa League match at Tromso IL.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has made nine changes to his side for tonight's Europa League match against Tromso IL.

Brad Friedel replaces Hugo Lloris in goal, while Michael Dawson is the only defender to retain his place from Sunday's 6-0 defeat at Manchester City.

He is joined in defence by Kyle Naughton, Vlad Chiriches and Ezekiel Fryers.

Etienne Capoue, Moussa Dembele and Gylfi Sigurdsson come into the midfield at the expense of Paulinho, Sandro and Lewis Holtby.

Andros Townsend and Nacer Chadli also return to the side.

Roberto Soldado retains his place up front in the absence of Jermain Defoe, who has not been named in the squad despite scoring seven times in the competition so far.

Tottenham: Friedel; Naughton, Chiriches, Dawson, Fryers; Capoue, Dembele, Chadli, Townsend, Sigurdsson; Soldado

Tromso: Benny; William, Adnan, Jaroslaw, Ruben; Magnus, KB Thomas, Remi, D Thomas; Morten, Zdenek
