Team News: Shola Ameobi partners Loic Remy in Newcastle United attack

Cardiff City make five changes for their trip to Newcastle United this afternoon.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has turned to Shola Ameobi in today's clash with Cardiff City as the home side look for their first win in six games.

Dan Gosling is the only player who started last weekend's 3-0 loss at Arsenal to be dropped.

Meanwhile, Cardiff City have made five changes in total. Ben Turner, Declan John, Aron Gunnarsson, Kim Bo-Kyung and Wilfried Zaha are all handed places in the starting XI.

Cardiff will be relegated from the Premier League today if they lose and Sunderland triumph at Manchester United.

Newcastle United: Krul, Debuchy, Williamson, Coloccini, Dummett, Sissoko, Anita, Tiote, Gouffran, Shola Ameobi, Remy

Cardiff City: Marshall, Fabio, Caulker, Turner, John, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Kim, Mutch, Zaha, Campbell
