Some Liverpool supporters are planning an 'FSG Out' protest ahead of Saturday's Premier League game against Chelsea after being frustrated by the club's owners.

A number of Liverpool fans are planning to protest against the club's owners ahead of this afternoon's Premier League meeting with Chelsea.

Unhappiness with the Fenway Sports Group, led by John W Henry, grew following the failed attempt at a breakaway European Super League last season, and has continued throughout a quiet transfer window for the Reds.

While the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have all made big-money marquee signings, Liverpool's only summer arrival so far is Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for £36m.

The Reds have lost Georginio Wijnaldum - a regular starter last season - without bringing in a replacement midfielder, although manager Jurgen Klopp has repeatedly insisted that he is happy with his squad and plans to use Harvey Elliott as an extra midfielder.

Nonetheless, frustrations among some Liverpool fans have grown throughout the window, and shortly after Manchester United confirmed the return of Cristiano Ronaldo on Friday, 'FSG Out' began trending on Twitter.

Some supporters have attempted to rally other fans to stage an 'FSG Out' protest outside Anfield ahead of today's meeting with Chelsea.

Fenway Sports Group has owned Liverpool since October 2010, during which time the Reds have re-established themselves among England and Europe's elite teams, winning their sixth Champions League crown and a first domestic title for 30 years.
