Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up against Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is expected to make changes to his starting side for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex.

The Blues were missing Reece James, Trevor Chalobah and Ben Chilwell through injury for the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, and the trio will again be absent here.

Andreas Christensen is also out following a positive coronavirus test, while Edouard Mendy is on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, meaning that Tuchel is without a number of key players.

There are still likely to be alterations from the side that started on Saturday, though, with Mason Mount and Timo Werner pushing to feature in the final third of the field.

Mount and Werner could come in for Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic, but Romelu Lukaku is expected to retain his spot in the side despite pressure from Kai Havertz.

Tuchel also has decisions to make in midfield, with Jorginho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek unused substitutes against Man City, but N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic could retain their spots.

Chelsea's defensive issues, meanwhile, mean that there could be a second successive Premier League start for Malang Sarr alongside Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva.

Chelsea possible starting lineup: Kepa; Rudiger, T Silva, Sarr; Azpilicueta, Kovacic, Kante, Alonso; Mount, Lukaku, Werner
