Atletico Madrid begin life without Radamel Falcao with Diego Costa in attack for the final match of the campaign against Real Zaragoza.

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has handed Brazilian striker Diego Costa a starting role in his side's first game without Radamel Falcao against Real Zaragoza.

With the Colombian forward confirming a move to Monaco on Friday, Costa leads the line in his place and will be supported by Adrian and Cristian Rodgiguez.

Central defender Jorge Pulido also starts for Simeone's team, with the experienced Diego Godin out through suspension.

Zaragoza must win their final match of the campaign to have any chance of avoiding relegation and as a result coach Manolo Jimenez has picked an attacking side.

Portuguese veteran Helder Postiga returns in attack for the visitors, while former Atletico goalkepeer Leo Franco is picked to play against his former club.

Atletico: Courtois, Juanfran, Miranda, Pulido, Insua, Tiago, Koke, Raúl García, Cristian Rodríguez, Adrian, Diego Costa

Zaragoza: Leo Franco, Alvaro, Postiga, Apono, Montanes, Fernandez, Loovens, Abraham, Pintér, Victor Ortiz
