Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insists that he is "really happy" with soon-to-be free agents Alexandre Lacazette and Mohamed Elneny and refuses to discuss the pair's futures.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has affirmed that he is "really happy" with both Mohamed Elneny and Alexandre Lacazette amid speculation surrounding both of their futures.

Lacazette has forced his way back into the Arsenal team in recent weeks, but the 30-year-old is widely expected to depart when his contract expires at the end of the season, although the Gunners are supposedly planning a short-term extension.

Elneny is also due to become a free agent in 2022, and reports have claimed that Arsenal could terminate his deal in January and allow him to complete a transfer to Galatasaray.

Arteta has refused to go into detail regarding both players' futures, though, telling reporters: "What I can say is I'm really happy with what Laca is doing. We're not going to be talking about any of that until the end of the season.

When pressed about Elneny's future, Arteta responded: "Again I cannot go into that. I'm really happy with Mo. I will not be discussing the individual fates of the players as it's not the time to do so."

The Gunners boss also provided an update on the fitness of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Thomas Partey ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.
