Nigel de Jong tells Zlatan Ibrahimovic: 'Join me at AC Milan'

Nigel de Jong tells Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to re-join AC Milan.

AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong has called on "true champion" Zlatan Ibrahimovic to rejoin the Rossoneri this summer.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker has been heavily linked with a return to the San Siro, with Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic stating that he is open to the prospect.

The 33-year-old has won 12 league titles with six different clubs during his well-travelled career, and De Jong would love the chance to play alongside the Swede.

"There is no question of whether I'd want Ibrahimovic to sign for Milan for me," he told Milan Channel. "I hope he comes back because he is a true champion."

Earlier today, PSG coach Laurent Blanc dismissed speculation linking Ibrahimovic - whose contract expires in 2016 - with a departure.
