Tottenham Hotspur deal for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala breaks down?

Tottenham Hotspur's hopes of signing Paulo Dybala are reportedly over as Juventus pull the plug on a transfer despite the two clubs agreeing a fee.

Tottenham Hotspur's hopes of signing Paulo Dybala have reportedly been ended after Juventus decided against selling the attacker.

The two clubs were understood to have agreed a £64.4m fee for the Argentina international, while negotiations were ongoing regarding a solution to his £350,000-a-week wage demands.

Dybala's image rights further complicated the deal, although BBC Sport reports that it was Juve's decision to pull the plug on the transfer.

The Italian champions had been desperate to offload the 25-year-old, with Manchester United also heavily linked over the past week, but they have now reportedly performed a dramatic U-turn and will keep him at the club beyond today's 5pm English transfer deadline.

Dybala has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan in exchange for Mauro Icardi, although the Nerazzurri are expected to sign one-time Juventus target Romelu Lukaku instead.

Spurs are still in talks with Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon on deadline day - a double deal which is likely to cost more than £75m.
