Jose Mourinho eyeing Tottenham Hotspur role?

Jose Mourinho is reportedly keeping a close eye on Tottenham Hotspur's managerial situation despite interest from Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly resolved to keep a close eye on Tottenham Hotspur's managerial situation despite interest from Real Madrid.

The 56-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Manchester United in December 2018.

Reports have strongly linked Mourinho with a return to Madrid, where he was manager between 2010 and 2013, but other reports claim that he could be favourite to replace Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs.

According to The Sun, the Portuguese boss believes that the Los Blancos job could be his but has decided to monitor the situation in North London.

Pochettino is under severe pressure having overseen a poor start to the 2019-20 campaign, with Spurs currently languishing in 14th position in the Premier League.

It has been reported that Mourinho would prefer to continue managing in the Premier League.
