Michy Batshuayi pens new Marseille deal to end Tottenham Hotspur speculation

Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi pours cold water over Premier League speculation by signing a new four-and-a-half year deal with the French club.

Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Michy Batshuayi has signed a new four-and-a-half year contract with Marseille.

Spurs had been linked with a January move for the Belgium international, who has scored 11 Ligue 1 goals in 19 appearances this season, but the 22-year-old has committed his future to Marseille.

"Very happy to prolong the adventure with the @OM_Officiel 👏🏾😍❤️ #2020," Batshuayi wrote on Twitter after his new deal was announced.

Marseille also revealed this afternoon that defender Bernard Mendy had extended his contract with the club until 2019.
