Preview: Spain vs. Honduras

Sports Mole previews Thursday's Group D clash between Spain and Honduras.

Spain were undone 1-0 by Japan on Thursday in one of the biggest sporting shocks in recent years, while Honduras came from behind to draw 2-2 with Morocco in a pulsating encounter.

Spain and Honduras have only ever met twice before - with both games taking place at the World Cup – and Honduras are yet to record a win.

Spain's previous Olympic record is impressive having lost just three of their 17 matches, while Honduras have managed just one win in seven matches thusfar.

Luis Milla is likely to make a host of chances to the Spain eleven following their shock defeat, with Inigo Martinez suspended and Martin Montoya carrying a knock.

Alberto Botia is expected to start, while Cesar Azpilicueta, Iker Muniain and Ander Herrera are also likely to be handed a starting place.

Meanwhile, Honduras boss Luis Suarez is expected to keep with the same side that drew against Morocco, with Jerry Bengston looking to add to his two goals thus far.

Possible lineups:

Spain: De Gea; Azpilcueta, Dominguez, Botia, Alba; Ander, Martinez; Mata, Isco, Muniain; Adrian

Honduras: Mendoza; Leveron, Velasquez, Lopez, Figueroa; Peralta, Martinez; Mejia, Espinoza, Najar; Bengston

Sports Mole says: 3-1
