A defeat for Sheffield United against Fulham on Sunday will see them set a record of the wrong kind.

Sheffield United are looking to avoid some unwanted club history when they take on Fulham in Sunday's Premier League clash at Bramall Lane.

The Blades have carried their poor run of form from the tail end of last season into the 2020-21 campaign, seeing them lose seven top-flight games in a row.

Never before have United lost eight league matches on the spin, which they will be desperate to put right against lowly Fulham this afternoon.

Scott Parker's men have also lost their opening four league games since earning promotion - never before have they started a campaign with five successive losses.

Fulham's solitary victory in their past 23 Premier League away games was 1-0 at Bournemouth in April 2019, drawing two and losing 20 since then.

However, the Cottagers won 5-4 away and 3-0 at home in the most recent matches between the sides, both coming in the Championship four seasons ago.
