Everton full-back Seamus Coleman is called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the first time since breaking his leg last March.

Everton defender Seamus Coleman has returned to the Republic of Ireland squad for the first time since suffering a double leg fracture last March.

The full-back, who has played for the Blues three times since returning to fitness, has been called up for the friendly against Turkey later this month.

"Welcome back, Seamus Coleman! The Ireland captain returns from injury to take his place in the squad for the game against Turkey," said the Football Association of Ireland in a statement released via Twitter.

Ireland boss Martin O'Neill has also named five uncapped players in his latest squad, with West Ham United defender Declan Rice, Manchester United goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara and Sunderland defender Enda Stevens making the cut, along with Blackburn Rovers duo Darragh Lenihan and Derrick Williams.

Ireland will travel to Antalya to face Turkey on March 23.
