Norwich City enter into potential investment talks with American millionaire Mark Attanasio, according to a report.

Norwich City have entered into potential investment talks with American millionaire Mark Attanasio, according to a report.

The Canaries were relegated from the Premier League at the first time of asking once again this season, with their final game of a disappointing campaign seeing them lose 5-0 to Tottenham Hotspur at Carrow Road on the final day.

As a result of the Norfolk side's continued struggles to compete in the top flight, supporters have grown frustrated at the lack of investment from current owners Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones.

The pair have always insisted that Norwich are run on a self-funded basis, but it was confirmed last week that the club would look to seek external investment.

Following that revelation, Attanasio has entered into talks with the current owners ahead of a potential investment into the club, according to a report from ITV News.

The report suggests that the American businessman even attended the final day clash with Spurs during a short stay in the city, although any potential announcement is unlikely to be imminent during the early stages of the discussions.

Sixty-four-year-old Attanasio is the current chairman and owner of Major League Baseball side Milwaukee Brewers, and also an investor in the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
