Jose Mourinho 'approves Anthony Martial exit'

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly gives the green light for Anthony Martial to leave the club this summer, with Juventus thought to be leading the race.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly given the green light for Anthony Martial to leave the club this summer.

Martial has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, making only four Premier League starts since January.

The 22-year-old's limited playing time has led to speculation over his future, and Italian outlet Tuttosport reports that Mourinho has now approved a deal which would take the winger to Juventus this summer.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is understood to be a fan of Martial - who became the world's most expensive teenager when he joined the club in 2015 - but Mourinho has reportedly decided that the France international has no future at Old Trafford.

Juventus are currently thought to be leading the race for his signature, but United's Premier League rivals Chelsea have also been linked with the attacker in a possible swap deal for Willian.

Martial has made 135 appearances for United across all competitions, scoring 36 goals.
