Inter Milan will consider selling Mauro Icardi for as little as £34m at the end of the season in light of his current contract standoff, according to a report.

Real Madrid and Manchester United have been given a boost in their pursuit of Mauro Icardi as Inter Milan have reportedly lowered the striker's valuation.

The 26-year-old's failure to agree fresh terms at San Siro has seen him stripped of the captaincy and shut out of the first team picture.

Man United and Madrid are believed to be monitoring the situation regarding Icardi, whose absence over the past three weeks has been put down to a niggling injury, while Juventus have already confirmed their interest.

Icardi's return of 122 goals in 210 appearances for Inter saw him given a price tag of £100m, but Marca reports that he may now be prised away for as little as €40m (£34m) to €50m (£43m) in light of his current circumstances.

Inter may be given little choice but to sell to the highest bidder in the summer, it is claimed, as the Argentina international will have just a year to run on his current deal at the end of next season.

The report also states that Inter will consider a possible swap deal for Paulo Dybala or Romelu Lukaku of Juventus and Man United respectively.
