Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi is currently considering his future at Camp Nou, according to a report.

Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi is reportedly considering his future at Camp Nou and could be open to leaving the Spanish giants in the near future.

Messi's existing deal with the Catalan outfit is due to expire next summer, and the Argentine's future has been thrown into fresh doubt following Friday's shock 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Manchester City have recently been linked with the 32-year-old, while Manchester United have been tipped to move for the South American by former Liverpool midfielder Graeme Souness.

According to Marca, Messi has 'no intention' of signing a new deal at Camp Nou for the moment, and the attacker is now 'debating his own future' with a number of options on the table.

The report claims that the Argentina international is currently waiting to see how Barca react to the Champions League embarrassment, with Quique Setien and Eric Abidal both being tipped to leave the club in the coming days.

Messi finished the 2019-20 campaign with 31 goals and 26 assists in 44 appearances in all competitions.
