Today's key events
Manchester United 'considering Mason Greenwood swap for Atletico Madrid star'
Manchester United have reportedly been offered Joao Felix by Atletico Madrid as part of their bid to sign Mason Greenwood in the summer transfer window.
Greenwood was sent on a season-long loan to Getafe last summer, and while the La Liga side are keen to make his deal permanent, they are likely to struggle to meet the £40m price tag for the attacker.
While Sir Jim Ratcliffe has not ruled out the possibility of the 22-year-old academy graduate returning to the Red Devils first team, it seems increasingly likely that they will offload him in the summer.
The England international enjoyed a very good season in Spain, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists, which earned him the club's Player of the Season award, along with plenty of admirers across Europe.
Mikel Arteta 'set for huge pay rise in new Arsenal contract'
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could reportedly become one of the highest-paid managers in the Premier League if he signs a new contract with the club.
Arteta has one year left on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium and has established himself as one of Europe's top young managers.
The North London club brought in the former Manchester City assistant manager back in 2019, and he hit the ground running, winning the FA Cup in his first season at the helm.
Additionally, the 42-year-old Spaniard has been key to assembling the Gunners youthful and exciting squad, who have competed for the Premier League title over the last two seasons, including finishing just two points behind Manchester City in 2023-24.
Brentford 'among Premier League clubs eyeing Luton playmaker'
Brentford have reportedly joined a number of Premier League sides who are keen on Luton Town defender Alfie Doughty.
The left-back - like the majority of his Hatters' teammates - navigated through his maiden campaign in the Premier League during the 2023-24 term.
Doughty was not an automatic first-choice option in his position at the beginning of the term, but his impressive performances allowed him to get ahead of fellow wide man Ryan Giles in the Luton pecking order.
As a measure of his importance, the 24-year-old only failed to start a single top-flight match for the Hatters after September, playing 37 times in the Premier League overall.
Bournemouth complete first permanent summer signing
Bournemouth have announced the permanent signing of Enes Unal from Getafe.
Unal joined the Cherries on loan in the winter transfer window, and subsequently helped the club achieve a record Premier League points total.
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola said in April that the club would sign Unal on a permanent transfer after certain conditions in the loan deal were met.
Unal has joined for a fee in the region of £14m and has put pen to paper a four-year contract until the summer of 2028.
Everton, West Ham 'chasing France youth international defender'
Everton and West Ham United are reportedly interested in the signing of Burnley defender Maxime Esteve.
The 22-year-old has only just moved to the English game in relative terms, making the switch from French outfit Montpellier HSC to the Clarets in January.
Making a total of 16 appearances in the Premier League for Vincent Kompany's Burnley, Esteve has impressed at centre-back alongside the likes of Republic of Ireland international Dara O'Shea.
That being said, the young defender was only able to help his side to two top-flight wins during his current spell in Lancashire, meaning that the Clarets suffered an immediate return to the Championship.
West Ham 'on the verge of signing Sheffield United regular'
West Ham United are reportedly set to sign Sheffield United's Wes Foderingham this summer.
The 33-year-old has been a solid figure in between the sticks for the Blades, making 112 competitive appearances for the club since joining from Rangers in July 2020.
Despite the signing of shot-stopper Ivo Grbic from Atletico Madrid during the January transfer window, Foderingham managed to keep his first-choice status at Bramall Lane for the 2023-24 campaign.
The former Swindon Town man appeared 30 times in the Premier League for a mixture of Paul Heckingbottom and Chris Wilder, although the keeper's best efforts were not enough to keep his side in the division.
Maresca 'will not have control over transfers as Chelsea set target positions'
Chelsea have reportedly decided how to manage Enzo Maresca's input on transfers and which areas they feel need improving ahead of 2024-25.
Just over a week ago, the Blues reached a mutual decision with Mauricio Pochettino for the head coach to depart his role at Stamford Bridge.
However, Chelsea's co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, as well as co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, have wasted no time in moving for an alternative.
Several days of negotiations are expected to conclude with Leicester City boss Maresca penning a contract of at least five years before the end of the week.
Barcelona 'to rival Man United for Everton star'
Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing one of Everton's star men during the summer transfer window.
The Catalan giants have just moved to resolve their issues in the dugout, replacing Xavi with former Bayern Munich and Germany boss Hansi Flick.
Part of the reason why Xavi was removed from his position was due to feeling that it was not realistic for Barcelona to challenge Real Madrid for the La Liga title in the short term.
As well as possessing an increasingly youthful squad at Camp Nou, Barcelona must deal with their well-documented financial issues.
Real Madrid-linked Mbappe refuses to rule out future move to Serie A club
Kylian Mbappe has revealed that he would be open to signing for a specific Italian club if an opportunity arises in the future.
The 2018 World Cup winner has just officially ended his time at Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 256 goals and contributing 108 assists from 308 appearances.
Although there is yet to be any official confirmation, the France international is believed to be on the brink of signing for Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Los Blancos will inevitably hand the 25-year-old a long-term contract at the Bernabeu, one which will include an unattainable release clause in today's market.
Man United 'set Wan-Bissaka asking price amid Inter interest'
Manchester United have reportedly decided on their valuation for defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Under the leadership of new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, United are preparing to embark on a transitional period across the summer transfer window.
A decision on the future of head coach Erik ten Hag is imminent with the Dutchman at risk of being sacked despite Saturday's FA Cup triumph.
Nevertheless, United must go through the process of substantially reducing their wage bill and recouping funds if they wish to make their desired additions in the transfer market.
"Those are two very nice clubs" - goalkeeper responds to Arsenal, Liverpool links
Arsenal and Liverpool have seemingly been handed a boost ahead of the summer transfer window.
The two Premier League giants are still reeling from having missed out in the title race to Manchester City, Liverpool having fallen away with weeks remaining and Arsenal being edged out on the final day.
Both clubs have reason for optimism for the future, though, particularly the latter who have established themselves as the best of the rest in England's top flight.
The Gunners and Merseyside giants are expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer and find themselves facing the prospect of signing a new goalkeeper.
Richarlison makes final decision on Spurs future amid Saudi links
Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has insisted that he will not leave the club this summer despite links with a move to Saudi Arabia.
Richarlison finished the 2022-23 campaign as Tottenham's second-highest scorer after netting 11 goals in 28 Premier League appearances.
Despite offering a useful contribution, Richarlison was not always guaranteed a starting spot, with Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou often utilising Son Heung-min as the main centre-forward.
With Spurs keen to sign a striker this summer, there has been speculation that Richarlison could be sold to raise funds and a free up space in the squad.
Real Madrid attacker 'has no plans to leave club despite Liverpool interest'
Real Madrid forward Rodrygo reportedly has no plans to leave this summer despite his refusal to rule out a potential departure.
Rodrygo has registered 54 goals and 41 assists in 215 matches since joining Real Madrid from Santos in the summer of 2019.
The forward has been a regular fixture in Carlo Ancelotti's side this season, having started 42 of his 50 competitive appearances.
Rodrygo has scored 17 goals and provided nine assists to help Real Madrid clinch the league title and the Spanish Super Cup.
Liverpool 'among clubs interested in £60m-rated midfielder'
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Porto midfielder Alan Varela.
The Reds are preparing for life under Arne Slot, with the Dutchman set to officially take charge of the Reds on June 1.
Liverpool are looking to bring in a new midfielder, despite overhauling their engine room during the 2023 summer transfer window.
Last year, the Reds recruited the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai.
