Manchester United will reportedly decide to part ways with manager Jose Mourinho if he fails to secure Champions League football for next season.

Manchester United are reportedly edging towards sacking Jose Mourinho if the club finish outside of the top four in the Premier League table.

Mourinho has endured a disappointing start to the new campaign, with United already sitting 12 points adrift of leaders Manchester City and seven of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

United have improved in recent weeks, with a victory earned away at Juventus in the Champions League, but The Sun reports that the pressure remains on the Portuguese.

The report suggests that United will target Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino if they do not gain Champions League football for another season, although there are doubts over whether the Argentine would be allowed to leave the North London outfit.

United would allegedly have to pay out £15m if they opted to part ways with Mourinho in the summer.
