Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann confirms that clubs have registered their interest in Robert Lewandowski amid links with Manchester City.

Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that clubs have put out 'feelers' for star man Robert Lewandowski.

The 32-year-old has netted 294 goals in 329 games during a glittering seven-year spell at Bayern, but he has previously refused to rule out a transfer to another league.

Manchester City are understood to be plotting a move for Lewandowski if they are priced out of a move for Harry Kane, and Nagelsmann is less than pleased about the Poland striker's situation.

Speaking to Sky Deutschland, the 33-year-old said: "The rumours about Robert Lewandowski have been around for ages, I think since he joined Bayern Munich.

"I think it's normal for someone who scores so many goals that almost every club puts out a feeler. I think on one hand Robert knows what he has in Munich, what he has in this team.

"I've spoken to him and texted him. I'm not very fond of the first official act with a player being to immediately discuss his contractual situation."

Lewandowski's current deal with Bayern will run for another two years, and he registered a remarkable 41 goals in 29 Bundesliga games last term, breaking Gerd Muller's previous long-standing record of 40 strikes in the 1971-72 campaign.
