Bayern Munich are confident of signing Manchester City attacker Leroy Sane for less than £85m next summer, according to a report.

Bayern Munich are reportedly confident that they will be able to sign Manchester City attacker Leroy Sane for less than £85m in next summer's transfer window.

The German champions were strongly linked with a move for the forward ahead of the 2019-20 campaign before a serious knee injury scuppered the move.

Bayern are still thought to be interested in the Germany international, though, and various reports have claimed that they will look to complete a deal ahead of the 2020-21 season.

According to Bild, Bayern president Uli Hoeness believes that his club will be able to tie up a deal for under £85m as the 23-year-old will have just 12 months to run on his contract next summer.

Sane's knee injury was initially expected to keep him on the sidelines until the middle of March, but a recent report has claimed that the attacker could return to the field in early 2020.

The former Schalke 04 youngster has scored 39 times and registered 45 assists in 134 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side in all competitions.
