Salford City handed home Hartlepool United FA Cup tie

Salford City's reward for beating Notts County in round one of the FA Cup is a home tie against another League Two outfit in Hartlepool United.

Northern Premier League Premier Division side Salford City have been drawn at home to Hartlepool United in the second round of the FA Cup.

The Class of 92-owned outfit, who overcame Notts County in one of the big shocks of the previous round, will welcome the Pools to Moor Lane in early December.

Elsewhere, lowest-ranked team Northwich Victoria will visit Northampton Town, should the League Two club defeat Eastleigh in their upcoming replay.

Fellow minnows Chesham United will take on either Aldershot Town or Bradford City, meanwhile, having shocked Bristol Rovers at the weekend.

Walsall were the highest-placed side in the draw, and they will take on either FC United of Manchester or Chesterfield depending on who comes out on top in the last of the round-one fixtures this evening.

The ties are scheduled to be played across the weekend of December 4-7, with Premier League and Championship sides due to enter in the next round.
