Everton manager Sean Dyche confirms that any new incomings through the door at Goodison Park are "improbable" on deadline day.

Everton manager Sean Dyche has told the press that it is "improbable" that any new faces will arrive at the club on deadline day.

After not bringing in any players while sitting in the relegation zone last January, Everton look set to be completely inactive in the market once again, with the club lying in the same position.

Everton's non-existent market ventures are of a direct consequence to the two Profitability and Sustainability breaches that the club have been charged for by the Premier League, one of which has already resulted in a 10-point penalty.

When asked whether the supporters can expect any incomings today, Dyche replied: "I doubt it, I don't even think it's probable. It's improbable that anyone comes in today."

That is despite the fact that Everton are currently dealing with a mammoth injury list that leaves their squad threadbare heading into the Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Dyche could only name one recognised central midfielder in his squad for the 0-0 draw with Fulham on Tuesday, as Amadou Onana was the newest injury concern for the Everton boss to deal with.

Andre Gomes and Abdoulaye Doucoure are already absent, while Idrissa Gueye was yet to return from the Africa Cup of Nations following Senegal's elimination.

The Everton boss has confirmed that Gueye will return to Finch Farm tomorrow and he is available for the clash with Spurs, meaning that he will likely line up next to James Garner in midfield.

There was little positive news regarding the rest of the injured party though, as Dyche offered updates on many of their players currently sidelined.

When quizzed on Doucoure's fitness in particular, Dyche confirmed: "Doucs is on the grass but not with us yet so he is unlikely [to face Spurs]."

After Onana was a late casualty before the trip to Craven Cottage, Arnaut Danjuma also hobbled off late in proceedings after a 50-50 challenge in the middle of the pitch.

In regards to the fitness of those two, Dyche said: "We had a knock to Arnie [Danjuma] and the games are coming quickly so he is in doubt; Amadou's still a doubt, but he is touch and go."

There was some good news regarding the right-back area, as Dyche revealed Ashley Young is progressing well after returning to the team, and he provided an update on Seamus Coleman.

"Seamus is getting more training in so his injury has been good, but actually getting up to match fitness he's a maybe.

"Still, [they are all] ifs and buts, they are not quite fully fit, so we will have to make a decision on them over the next 24 hours."

Everton enter the Spurs fixture in the bottom three after Luton Town's 4-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday, and they are still awaiting the result of their appeal against the club's 10-point deduction.
