Everton have reportedly held an emergency board meeting this weekend to discuss the future of Rafael Benitez.

Everton have called an emergency board meeting in order to discuss the future of current manager Rafael Benitez, according to reports.

The Toffees have failed to win in their previous eight performances and their poor form as of late has resulted in the club slipping down to 15th in the table.

Despite recent results Farhad Moshiri made a public statement earlier this week, where he backed the experienced manager, citing the difficulties with injuries as a reason for their struggles.

However, Bill Kenwright has called an emergency board meeting over the weekend where the future of Benitez was a high topic for the club, according to The Mirror.

The Toffees were defeated 4-1 during their most recent outing against Liverpool which did put him under more pressure from the fanbase.

Everton will be back in action on Monday night when they face Arsenal in their latest Premier League fixture.
