Chelsea planning swoop for Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo?

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to pay £108m in order to secure a deal for Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo during the next transfer window.

Chelsea are reportedly planning an audacious approach for Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Although the Portuguese superstar has failed to replicate the form which he produced at Real Madrid, the attacker has still scored 53 goals from 76 appearances in all competitions.

However, despite having two years left on his contract, it has been suggested that Chelsea are willing to offer the former Manchester United man a chance to return to the Premier League.

According to reports in Spain, the Blues are prepared to spend £108m on the 35-year-old, who last played in England's top flight in 2009.

The speculation comes at a time when Juventus are looking to raise transfer funds and reduce their outgoings, which includes introducing a salary cap when making new signings.

While Chelsea are keen to find replacements for Willian, Pedro and Michy Batshuayi, Hakim Ziyech is already due to arrive at Stamford Bridge and Timo Werner is widely expected to follow the Ajax playmaker in the coming weeks.
