Chelsea teenager Dominic Solanke hopes he impressed at England training

Chelsea's teenage striker Dominic Solanke is hoping that he impressed the England seniors after being invited to train with the first team.

Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke has described being able to train with the England first team as a "crazy feeling".

The 17-year-old forward was invited to train with the seniors after receiving the Young Player of the Year award at St George's Park earlier today.

"I was told I might be getting called up to train with the first team, and I was just hoping that it would be a yes," he told the Football Association's website.

"We were all going down as a squad to watch, then about half an hour before we were going to head over [Under-18s manager] Neil Dewsnip told me I was going to be training and from then I was just buzzing and really looking forward to it.

"It was a crazy feeling, a mix of excitement and nerves. Obviously, it's all the best players in England so the level was going to be really high. It was a good stage to try and impress as well."

Solanke made his Chelsea debut earlier this season in the Champions League against Maribor.
