Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte says that Charly Musonda "understood his mistake" after suggesting on social media that he was frustrated with life at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has said that he has no issues with Charly Musonda after the youngster suggested that he was frustrated with his lack of opportunities at Stamford Bridge.

Musonda used social media to seemingly voice his opinion on the matter, while reports have suggested that the 20-year-old will be loaned out during the January transfer window.

However, while Conte has acknowledged speaking to Musonda, the Italian has hinted that he is focused on looking forward and wants the player to concentrate on his development.

The 48-year-old told reporters: "I spoke with him and I think Charly understood his mistake. Honestly I think he has to continue to work very hard to improve himself and his physical aspect. His mind should be focused on the pitch, not social media. I told him this.

"My task is to help him find the right way not the wrong way. Above all with the young players it is important to speak with him, to explain how to choose the right way. I did this, I am sure he understood. I don't see a problem with him.

"He must continue to work in the way he has been doing. Social media is not the most important thing in his career."

Musonda has made just one start and two substitute appearances for the Blues since being promoted to the first team.
