David Jones signs new Burnley deal

Midfielder David Jones extends his contract with Burnley until the summer of 2017.

David Jones has agreed a new contract with Championship outfit Burnley.

The midfielder, who joined the Clarets from Wigan Athletic in 2013, had just one year left to run on his previous deal.

However, Jones has now committed himself to Turf Moor until the summer of 2017, which has seen him follow in the footsteps of his teammates Scott Arfield and Tom Heaton, both of whom also recently penned extensions with the Lancashire club.

Jones, who started his career with Manchester United, has made 87 appearances for Burnley in the last two seasons.
