Sergio Busquets takes blame for Barcelona collapse

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets takes responsibility for the late collapse in the 2-2 draw with Deportivo La Coruna.

Sergio Busquets has claimed that he was to blame for Barcelona's collapse in the 2-2 draw with Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

Goals from Lionel Messi and Ivan Rakitic had put the club on course for all three points before Deportivo hit back, and Busquets, who gave the ball away prior to the equaliser from Alex Bergantinos, believes he should take responsibility.

"In the second half, at 2-0 we thought it was almost done," the midfielder told Barca TV.

"We had the bad luck of conceding a goal and then there was my loss of the ball. I take full blame for the equaliser.

"We must learn to close out games or when we can try to limit any counter-attacks and have plenty of men behind the ball."

Barcelona return to action against Sporting Gijon next Saturday.
