Arsene Wenger says highly-rated youngster Ryo Miyaichi will only move to an English club if he goes out on loan.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that his plan for Japanese starlet Ryo Miyaichi is for him to go on loan to an English club.

The 19-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance in the league for the club and has been linked with clubs such as Feyenoord, Valenciennes, and Bolton Wanderers.

A decision as to which club the forward will join is yet to be made, but Wenger has revealed that he will need to stay in England to preserve his home grown status. The Premier League's 'Homegrown Rule' requires that each team register at least eight players who have spent three years at British academies before their 21st birthday. This puts Bolton at an advantage in the race for Miyaichi's signature.

"I will have a chat with him tomorrow and I have a little plan," Wenger told Arsenal's official website.

"Oxlade-Chamberlain plays on the flanks now too, so if I can find an opportunity for [Miyaichi] to play somewhere I will decide whether to do that tomorrow.

"It will have to be in England because he will lose the homegrown [status] if he leaves the country,"

Miyaichi joined Arsenal in 2010 after a trial with the North London club.
