Marseille are keen to sign Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi this summer, according to a report.

Marseille are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi this summer.

The 22-year-old spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Hertha Berlin, scoring twice and providing three assists in 24 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.

As it stands, Guendouzi is due to return to the Gunners ahead of next season, but it does not appear that the Frenchman has a future at the Emirates Stadium under head coach Mikel Arteta.

Hertha have decided against signing the midfielder on a permanent deal, but according to La Provence, there is firm interest from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille.

The report claims that the French club are ready to move for Guendouzi in the coming weeks, although it remains to be seen whether they can agree a price with his parent club.

The former Lorient youngster still has more than 12 months left to run on his deal with the Gunners.
