Arsenal, Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly remain interested in Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby.

Arsenal, Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain are all reportedly contemplating bids for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby.

When the Frenchman left the latter in 2019, he did so having failed to make a notable impression on the back of progressing through the youth ranks at Parc des Princes.

However, Diaby, now 23 years of age, has progressed into one of the best attackers in the Bundesliga, regularly impressing for Leverkusen.

Diaby has contributed 48 goals and 46 assists from his 161 appearances in all competitions, more than justifying his £13.2m price tag.

While Diaby's numbers this campaign are marginally lower than 2021-22, the France international has still chipped in with nine goals and seven assists from 26 Bundesliga outings.

Although Leverkusen would naturally prefer to retain the services of one of their star men, just over two years are remaining on his contract.

According to Bild, that has led to his future being discussed by the Leverkusen hierarchy behind the scenes.

The report claims that Leverkusen, who are currently the in-form side in Germany's top flight, would look to receive in excess of £50m should offers be made later in 2023.

That valuation has the potential to put off a number of suitors, yet it is alleged that Arsenal, Newcastle and PSG are all toying with the idea of making an approach.

The Gunners are already well stocked for options in the final third, but there are doubts over the long-term futures of Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe.

Meanwhile, should they qualify for a European competition, the Magpies would look to significantly strengthen their squad, and Eddie Howe would likely be attracted to signing a player who can be deployed in a number of positions.

PSG may undergo a rebuild ahead of the next campaign with the futures of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe both deemed to be up in the air.

Furthermore, it has been reported that Hugo Ekitike, whose loan stay will become permanent in the summer, will immediately be put up for sale by the club's owners.
