Channel 4 commissions a new series of reality show Tempting Fortune, with Paddy McGuinness returning as host.

Paddy McGuinness-fronted reality show Tempting Fortune has been recommissioned for a second series by Channel 4.

The format sees a group of contestants embark upon an epic trek together - starting off with a huge cash prize that will be shared equally among them.

Along the way, however, they are tempted by a series of luxury treats and experiences, but if anyone chooses to indulge themselves then the prize fund takes a hit.

The first series took part in the South African wilderness, while the eight-part second will see the contestants march through a jungle setting armed with only basic rations and survival gear.

"Last series was full of backstabbing, betrayal and sheer determination... but this time there are added twists!" said McGuinness.

"I'm so excited to be back for an even bigger series, putting a new set of brave, daring and cunning contestants into the hot and sticky jungle to see whether anyone can make it to the end without taking my temptations."

The show will be filmed in July and August, with contestant applications open online now.
