Simon Cowell reveals that he is working on a new TV show involving his old The X Factor colleague Cheryl Cole.

Simon Cowell has revealed that he is working on a new TV show with Cheryl Cole.

The Girls Aloud star joined Cowell on his show The X Factor as a judge in 2008 for three series, returning again for two stints in 2014 and 2015.

The show has since been dropped by ITV and Cowell has been focusing on Britain's Got Talent, but in a new interview he has revealed that he is developing a brand new concept involving him and Cole.

"Cheryl was brilliant on the show, great to work with, really good fun - and there might be something coming up where we might be working together, funnily enough," he told The Mirror.

"I can't tell you much at the moment. I don't think it will be on a streaming service, this one, and it won't be X Factor. But it will be TV because Cheryl is great on TV. She's fantastic."

He added: "The project I'm working with Cheryl on is in very early stages, and until it's signed I'm really superstitious. Once it's signed I couldn't care less, but until then I try to keep things confidential."

Since leaving The X Factor, Cole has made her West End debut in the play 2:22 A Ghost Story and next month she will embark upon a reunion tour with her Girls Aloud bandmates.
