Charlotte Crosby 'will only film half of new Geordie Shore series'

Charlotte Crosby is reportedly prepared to film only half of the new anniversary series of Geordie Shore being filmed in Colombia.

Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby has reportedly informed MTV that she is only prepared to commit to half of the filming schedule for the 10th anniversary series.

The next series will feature multiple cast members past and present and is due to be filmed in Colombia, where the relatively relaxed coronavirus restrictions will enable the cast to go out and party.

According to The Sun, MTV plan to film episodes over the course of four weeks but quarantine rules mean that the cast must isolate on arrival in Colombia then spend 10 days quarantining in a hotel when they return to the UK.

"Charlotte's so busy in the UK - she's got several businesses, the house renovation and [boyfriend] Liam waiting at home for her," a source told the newspaper.

"She doesn't want to leave any of that for too long, so she's agreed to film for two weeks then return home, while the rest of the cast stay out for a month.

"The thing is, it's added almost a month on to the job and while it will be fun to film, it means some of them have had to cancel important jobs and won't be able to see their boyfriends and girlfriends for an extra two weeks after being away for filming.

"Everyone wants to make the series happen but it's a nightmare with all the new rules and keeping everyone safe."

Original cast member Gaz Beadle has ruled out taking part in the reunion, while Vicky Pattison is also thought to have declined an invite to appear.
