I'm A Celebrity contestants will reportedly be required to isolate for two weeks upon arrival in Australia.

Contestants taking part in this year's series of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! will reportedly fly to Australia two weeks early to quarantine before the show begins.

ITV is said to be determined to ensure that the show will go ahead as planned this November despite the ongoing threat caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Australia is one of the countries least affected by COVID-19, with just over 7,000 confirmed cases and 99 deaths being recorded to date.

The country currently has strict measures in place that require all people arriving on foreign flights to quarantine in a designated hotel for a fortnight and according to The Sun, this protocol will be adopted by this year's contestants even if the regulations are eased by the Aussie government.

"ITV will continue to say publicly that they are monitoring the situation, but I've been told by one of the team that they are cautiously optimistic that it will go ahead," a source told the newspaper.

"They hope that they'll be able to go ahead by flying in the cast and crew and quarantining them for 14 days and people signed up for the show have been told to expect a longer stay in Oz – and also a larger cheque.

"They can't get any assurances from the Australia authorities that this will be a goer as, quite rightly, they've got more important issues on their plate, but the feeling is that it will happen.

"There has been some talk of planning a watered-down version in another part of the world but the worry is that there wouldn't be time team to build all the sets and the product would suffer."

Rumoured contestants for this year's show include Eric Cantona, Charles Ingram, AJ Pritchard and Matt Baker.
