Isabelle Smith and Ryan Mulvey will play Darren's twin children in Hollyoaks as they return to the village next month.

Hollyoaks has revealed that the return of the Ashworths to the soap will also see Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) reunited with his two twin children.

Mother and daughter Suzanne (Suzanne Hall) and Hannah (Emma Rigby) will be back in the village next month after several years away, showing up unannounced on Darren's door.

The twins - now aged 13 - will also be joining them, with Isabelle Smith playing Frankie and Ryan Mulvey taking on the role of Jack Jr, aka JJ.

"I'm so excited to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks, it still hasn't sunk in!" said Smith, who has previously had a guest part in Coronation Street. "You should expect a lot of ups and downs with Frankie but all I'll say is, don't judge her too soon..."

Mulvey added: "I'm buzzing to join the cast of the Osbourne family. JJ is charismatic, sporty and a proper mummy's boy who knows exactly how to get what he wants."

Hollyoaks continues weekdays on Channel 4 streaming and E4.
