Emma Rigby reportedly agrees a deal to make a permanent return to Hollyoaks as Hannah Ashworth.

Emma Rigby is reportedly returning to Hollyoaks as Hannah Ashworth on a full-time basis.

The character - last seen in 2010 - is returning to the village later this month alongside her mother Suzanne (Suzanne Hall) and the twins she had with Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson).

Rigby initially signed up for just a brief return, but according to The Sun, she has since made the comeback a permanent one.

A source told the newspaper: "Emma agreed to return for a little guest stint but after a few weeks of filming she felt like she was back home.

"She had a number of conversations with bosses and has since signed a year-long contract.

"Everyone is over the moon to have her back permanently. Bosses were so happy when she agreed to return for a few weeks so to have her back as a regular cast member again is very exciting. She's got come big things coming up."

Hollyoaks continues weekdays at 7pm on E4, with first-look episodes available from 7.30pm on Channel 4 streaming.
