ITV reportedly informs Holly Willoughby that she can take her time before making a decision on hosting Dancing On Ice.

Holly Willoughby has reportedly been told by ITV that she can take all the time she needs to make a decision over hosting Dancing On Ice.

Last week the 42-year-old announced that she had quit This Morning after 14 years following a traumatic incident that saw a man arrested on suspicion of planning to kidnap and murder her.

Prior to her exit from the daytime show, she had been expected to return as host of Dancing On Ice in January - albeit with a brand new co-host, thought to be Stephen Mulhern, following Phillip Schofield's departure from ITV earlier in the year.

Now the broadcaster is said to have informed Willoughby that she can stay on leave for as long as she needs, even if it means missing Dancing On Ice.

"Everyone around her - family, friends and her team - all agreed that a really decent break from work would do her the power of good," a source told The Sun.

"ITV has assured her that there is zero pressure to be ready for Dancing on Ice even though she remains a much-loved part of the family.

"After all, work begins on the skate show in December with shoots and promo, and nobody wants to place unrealistic expectations on Holly's shoulders and have her feel she needs to rush back, especially because nobody knows how and when the court case will proceed.

"Everyone agrees that putting everything on ice - so to speak - is for the best."

Earlier this month the lineup for the new series was revealed, with the likes of Claire Sweeney, Miles Nazaire, Greg Rutherford and Ricky Hatton among the celebs taking part.
